i am giantLondon based rock band I Am Giant announce the release of their brand new single ‘Razor Wire Reality’ alongside a UK tour including a London headline show at the legendary 100 Club.

‘Razor Wire Reality’ is the first single from their sophomore album ‘Science and Survival,’ the follow up to their Gold selling debut ‘The Horrifying Truth’.

The track was recorded between Biarritz, France and London and was co-produced by the band’s bassist Paul Matthews, drummer Shelton Woolright and acclaimed Australian Producer/Engineer Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, Helmet). Forrester also produced and engineered the band’s first album ‘The Horrifying Truth’.  ‘Razor Wire Reality’ was mixed by Forrester in Australia, engineered by both Forrester and bassist Matthews.

The video for the track was filmed in Berlin, Germany by award winning director/producer team Soren and Martin from Berlin based company Mutter and Vater (Bring Me The Horizon, Crystal Castles, Twin Atlantic), and sets the tone for the forthcoming album, due in May.

‘We’re very happy to be finally releasing our first single from the second album. We’ve spent the last 6 months working so hard on this whole record and the past few weeks have been all about the ‘Razor Wire Reality’ video so we’re looking forward to getting back on the road in Europe to see what our friends & fans think of it.’ – says Paul Matthews.

Paul also says on the subject of the track, ‘We’re leaving as much open to individual interpretation as possible… I would say the song explores the concept that reality is different for everyone; possibly we create our own, possibly it’s something that we learn and something we are conditioned to accept and believe.’

I Am Giant are comprised of English vocalist Ed Martin, and New Zealand duo Shelton Woolwright on drums and bassist Paul Matthews.
